Jenny: Athletic coach
From a very young age, I developed a love for a variety of sports including gymnastics, volleyball and basketball. I thrived on the competition and team camaraderie. After high school, I obtained a degree in Radiography and currently employed as a PACS Administrator.
I started CrossFit in 2013 after I had knee surgery and was struggling getting back into my fitness routine without experiencing pain. I fell in love with CrossFit from the moment I did that first excruciating WOD and have never looked back.
In 2017, I received my Level 1 Certification. I currently am an assistant coach for Kids CrossFit classes as well as regular CrossFit classes. It’s vital for me to live as an example to my two girls and showcase dedication, self confidence and the willingness to fail at the risk of succeeding!

I truly believe crossfit can change your life! After having my second daughter in 2014, and being a stay at home mom, my husband encouraged me to do something for myself. I found crossfit! Stepping into the box for the first time was one of the best decisions I have ever made. I am now the fittest and strongest have ever been! I love the quote " stronger then yesterday" I believe crossfit makes you stronger everyday not only physically but mentally. The community at MachineLab is the most encouraging group of people I have ever been around, and I am now lucky enough to call some of them my closest friends. Crossfit has made my life better and I now look forward to coaching and helping others live a healthy fit life!

I grew up in Cambria WI on the family farm. I was into athletics and competition from a young age; I think it was due to having 3 brothers who didn’t like to lose. Growing up we played soccer, baseball, basketball, football, and track while helping out doing chores and fieldwork. I only recently began doing Crossfit during the summer of 2016 in Tucson, AZ, and I haven’t looked back since.
Crossfit was a mix of things that helped make it a staple of my life. The sense of community, competition, camaraderie, and ever changing versatility of workouts made it an easy life change from bodybuilding. I continue to find it challenging and fulfilling day after day. This helped me pursue my Level One certificate so that I could continue progressing as an athlete, but also to have the opportunity to help give back to the community. I find it an incredible honor to be put in a position to have a positive impact on the health of the athletes that choose Crossfit.

Jeremy is looking forward to attending more competitions as a coach versus as a competitor and working with athletes to prepare for upcoming WODS.
"CrossFit is great. The workouts are amazing. They can be scaled to fit anyone's ability. It doesn't matter if you're 20 years old, 70 years old or if fitness has or hasn't been a part of your life. CrossFit is for everyone. But the best part about CrossFit is the community aspect. I've never seen anything like it. When you go to a competition or the gym for a WOD, everyone pushes each other to the best they can. It's non-stop motivation and support.

As college athletes, we both spent endless hours training for sports that we loved, so once that was all overwith, we both felt a little lost. We had both been physically active all of our lives, usually engaged in weightlifting and sport-specific training, so we needed something in our newly established, post-college lives that not only kept us healthy and active but that also channeled our competitive spirits. Luckily, we found CrossFit! We have both been doing CrossFit since 2011 and love the diversity and challenge each workout brings. What we love most about CrossFit, though, is the community of amazing athletes that we get to be a part of…athletes who come from all walks of life and experiences, athletes who push us to be our best, who pick us up when we’re down and who are there for us no matter what; athletes that embrace who we are and yet never let us lose sight of who we want to be. We are truly blessed to be a part of this community, to raise our 3 boys knowing how friendship and fitness go hand in hand, and now, as coaches, to welcome others to this amazing community and help them become the best versions of themselves. If you’re at a point in your life where you’re feeling a little lost, no matter what your fitness background may be, come and give CrossFit a try…there’s so much to love about what happens here and so many amazing people to support you along your journey! Come join us!

After I got out of the Marine Corps in 2009, I then moved back to Portage, where I joined the Anytime Fitness that was in town and just kept doing the typical stuff that i knew. While there I met Serina Seiler and we had talked a bit. I had found out that she was opening up a Crossfit gym and really didn't know what it was or much about it. I went and tried it out,It was very intense and had the feeling of what the marine corps. was when i was in and I liked that feeling. After being there it was what I missing, the intensity of working out and the comradery of marine corps. It changed me to be even fitter than I was in the marine corps. I love the community that comes together at Machine Lab and helps you and cheers for you like they are family. Coaching and helping people change for the better is what its all about. Crossfit making a better you than you ever thought was possible.

I've been involved in athletics and fitness for the past 8 years, dropping from an unhealthy, pre-hypertension, and pre-diabetic 320 lbs. to a healthy and fit 195 lbs. My first WOD was October 1st, 2013. It kicked my ass and I’ve been in love with it ever since. I have grown to love great group we have at 1208. Each morning I struggle through these workouts with my fellow bad-asses, we push one another, and laugh with each other. I want the 1208 family to know that each morning I am excited to share my knowledge of fitness and health so that I can help anyone who walks through our door.

Hello! My name is Megan and I’ve been doing Crossfit since May 2017. I joined Crossfit because I wanted to gain strength for an upcoming jujitsu tournament I was competing in, little did I know it was going to change my entire life! I instantly fell in love with Crossfit because of the focus on overall wellness. The Crossfit lifestyle does not just focus on physical movements. Crossfit includes education on proper nutrition, as well as underlying lessons such as mental toughness. After a month of Crossfit I was hooked and I haven’t stopped since. My favorite part about Machine Lab is that any person of any athletic ability can share the floor and workout together, as there are different levels of workouts programmed everyday to meet the needs of each athlete. Everyone here is so supportive and celebrates each members personal achievements. I look forward to coaching and helping others work towards their fitness goals!

I have been involved in athletics my entire life; from soccer and baseball in my youth, to basketball, football, track and field, and even rugby.
My curiosity for CrossFit came when I saw the CrossFit Games on ESPN2 back in 2012. I finally took the leap and gave it a try in May 2015 and haven’t looked back. I travel with my job which has allowed me to experience boxes from all around the country. All of these boxes are unique in their own ways, but one thing is always the same… a great community! This is one of the things that kept me coming back for more.
